Role: RE, History & Politics Teacher
Contract: Full-time, temporary maternity cover
Salary: MPS (£32,916 – £45,350)
Dates: Term 2 – Term 6 (November 2025 – July 2026, possible continuation to November 2026)
Location: Rochester, Kent

Join a high-achieving and supportive school as an RE, History & Politics Teacher, delivering lessons up to KS5 and inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of the world around them – its history, its politics, and the values that shape it today.

This is a full-time role from Term 2 until the end of the academic year, with full planning and marking responsibilities. The school has high expectations for both students and staff, but equally prioritises well-being, professional development, and fostering a collaborative environment.

RE, History & Politics Teacher responsibilities:

  • Teach RE, History & Politics across KS3–KS5
  • Plan and deliver thought-provoking lessons that inspire critical thinking
  • Mark, assess, and report on student progress
  • Support students in preparing for exams and wider life beyond the classroom
  • Contribute to the school’s academic and extra-curricular life

RE, History & Politics Teacher requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
  • Experience teaching one or more of these subjects up to KS5
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to connect learning to real-world issues
  • A commitment to engaging students and fostering open-minded discussion
  • Organised, collaborative, and passionate about education
  • Available full-time, Monday-Friday
