Role: Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time, temporary (Term 5 with potential extension)
Salary: From £92.56 per day
Dates: 20 April – 22 May (may extend)

Year 1 Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher within a Year 1 classroom
• Deliver and support Read Write Inc Phonics sessions
• Work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and progress
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with the school ethos
• Help create a structured and supportive learning environment

Year 1 Teaching Assistant requirements:

• Experience working within a KS1 classroom
• Knowledge or experience of Read Write Inc Phonics (essential)
• Ability to commit to full-time hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30)
• Positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting young learners
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
