Celebrating Excellence in Education: Kent Teacher of the Year Awards 2023
At the heart of Kent’s education system lies the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of its educators. The Kent Teacher of the Year Awards is an annual event that brings together these educators from all corners of Kent, acknowledging their invaluable dedication in shaping the lives of young learners. The prestigious awards, which recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of teachers and school support staff across the county, were held on Friday 19th May 2023 at Ashford International Hotel, hosted by Social Enterprise Kent. Proudly sponsored by Three R’s Teacher Recruitment, we were delighted to witness the exceptional achievements and commitment displayed by these remarkable members of our education system.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from Nicola Everett, KMFM broadcaster and Paul Andrews, local mentor and Business Radio Show presenter. The awards covered a range of accolades for the different areas; Ashford, Canterbury, Dartford & Gravesham, Dover & Folkestone, Maidstone, Medway, Swale, Thanet and West Kent.
Throughout the evening, heartfelt stories of transformation and impact reverberated around the room as teachers and support staff were recognised not only for their exceptional teaching skills but also for their ability to inspire and nurture the next generation of learners. Their commitment to go above and beyond, supporting students both academically and emotionally, was evident in the touching testimonials shared by colleagues, parents, and students themselves.
As a lead Kent specialist in teacher recruitment, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment witness the tireless efforts of teachers and support staff every day. For us, it is an honour to be part of this event and to support and promote the exceptional work carried out to celebrate excellence in education.
The Kent Teacher of the Year Awards are always a resounding success, shining a spotlight on the remarkable dedication and impact of educators in the region. This year, being the first hosted by Social Enterprise Kent, continued in the legacy of previous events. It only celebrated the winners but also recognised the collective commitment of all those who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our communities.
Here’s to another year of exceptional teaching and learning in Kent, and to the continued success of the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards in celebrating the incredible educators who shape our future generations.
