I joined Three R’s in 2010 as a Secondary Education Consultant after 15 years working in London’s legal sector. My role involves finding great candidates and maintaining good relationships with all of our existing secondary school clients.

Working at Three R’s is such a rewarding experience. There’s a lot of talk about how disaffected many teachers are with their profession, so I particularly enjoy finding the right permanent position for individuals that have been disheartened about not finding work or the right school for them. The team here are all lovely people to work with and we get on really well.

A lot of people think that recruitment is an easy job, and over the years I’ve seen plenty of ‘pop up’ agencies trying to muscle in on the education sector. But the keys to effective recruitment are great organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure that all the correct protocols are followed.

Of course, good instincts come into play too – recruitment is all about people and matching a candidate with the employer where their individual skills and personality can really shine.
