Role: Primary Teacher (SEN)
Contract: Temporary, part-time, start Jun 2025
Salary: MPS pro-rata
Location: Folkestone, Kent

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Primary Teacher with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join a Folkestone-based school, focusing primarily on morning sessions. This role involves delivering targeted interventions for small groups of around 5 students, working to enhance early learning skills and provide additional support where needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in both EYFS and SEN, along with a passion for nurturing young learners in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities of Primary Teacher (SEN):

  • Plan and deliver small-group interventions for Primary students, focusing on foundational skills in a structured yet engaging way.
  • Provide individual support to students with specific learning needs, helping them build confidence and progress in their learning journey.
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and SEN requirements.
  • Work closely with SEN coordinators, support staff, and families to track and support student development.
  • Create a warm, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth.

Requirements of Primary Teacher (SEN):

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Primary and SEN.
  • Proven track record of delivering interventions and small-group work, particularly with SEN students.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and SEN support.
  • Availability for morning sessions.
