Role: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Lead
Contract: Full-Time, January – July 2025 (potential to extend or go permanent)
Salary: M6–UP3 (Fringe) + TLR 2A (dependent on experience)
Location: Folkestone, Kent
Are you a passionate EYFS professional ready to take the lead in shaping the early educational journey of young learners? A highly regarded Folkestone school with an outstanding nursery is seeking a dedicated EYFS Lead to join their team from January 2025.
This is a full-time leadership role (7:30am–5:00pm) with a 2.5-day teaching commitment across both Reception and Nursery, leading the Early Years phase and inspiring staff and children alike.
You’ll be joining a thriving setting that caters for children aged 3+ months to 4 years in the Nursery, and a two-form entry Reception year, where curiosity, creativity and care are at the heart of every day.
The ideal EYFS Lead will:
- Demonstrate strong leadership within the Early Years Foundation Stage and nursery provision
- Inspire and support colleagues through modelling best practice in teaching and learning
- Lead the planning and delivery of a creative and stimulating EYFS curriculum
- Oversee high standards of achievement, assessment and continuous improvement
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child thrives and transitions confidently into Key Stage 1
EYFS Lead requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
- Successful experience leading or co-ordinating EYFS provision
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and development matters
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with staff, parents and the wider community
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achieving the best outcomes for every child
